On June 29, 2023, in the city of Kyiv, in the premises of the Research Institute of Ukrainian Studies of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine (hereinafter - NDIU), str. Isaakyan, 18, III All-Ukrainian scientific readings with international participation "Love your Ukraine!" (the format of the event is offline and online).
At them, scientists, educators, servicemen of the Defense Forces of Ukraine and representatives of civil society discussed a number of urgent problems that appeared before Ukrainian society during the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, namely the updating of Ukrainian studies for the consolidation of the Ukrainian political nation in order to defeat the racists.
During the scientific event, the participants discussed the following priority issues: the place and role of Ukrainian studies in the development of the Ukrainian state and the Ukrainian nation during the Russo-Ukrainian war; protection of the constitutional rights of Ukrainian citizens in conditions of full-scale Russian aggression; Pyotr Kononenko's contribution to the creation of the Institute of Ukrainian Studies and the development of Ukrainian Studies as a science, educational discipline and ideology of the Ukrainian state; functioning of Ukrainian education and science in conditions of full-scale Russian aggression; the development of Ukrainian material and spiritual ethnic culture in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Despite all the difficulties directly and indirectly related to the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, on Thursday, June 29, 2023, in compliance with all the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine, the scientific forum began its work. From 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., registration of event participants took place. It was opened at 11:00 a.m.
In his introductory speech, Doctor of Philosophy, professor, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology, director of the Scientific Research Institute V. G. Chernets noted that the Readings are timed to an important state holiday - the Constitution Day of Ukraine. Vasyl Hnatovych, in particular, emphasized: "The Constitution should become not only de jure, but also de facto - the Basic Law for every citizen of Ukraine. The Constitution must protect the rights and lives of Ukrainian citizens, but they must also respect the Basic Law and fulfill its main provisions. We need to love Ukraine bolder and braver. Ukraine is a powerful country, but currently it needs protection not only at the front, but also in the legal field. Historian and people's deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 10th convocation, V. Vyatrovych, was the first to defend Ukraine against some not very correct wishes and remarks of the lawyers of the Venice Commission. I would like to remind those present that in 2022 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a significant European integration law "On National Minorities (Communities) of Ukraine". However, the conclusion of the experts of this respected organization does not take into account Ukrainian realities. They recommend Ukrainian legislators to cancel some norms of Ukrainian legislation, in particular, to remove the restrictions (90% on all-Ukrainian and 80% on regional TV channels) of television products that must be broadcast in Ukrainian, reduce the quantity of books in Ukrainian in bookstores, cancel the mandatory duplication of signs in Ukrainian , strengthen the protection of the Russian-speaking population, etc. All these lawyers for some reason forget that the centuries-long rule of the Russian Empire led to the assimilation of Ukrainians and the discrimination of their native language, so it is necessary to save not the Russian, but the Ukrainian language in Ukraine. Currently, the issue of not only decommunization, but also decolonization of Ukraine is topical. To this end, on May 25, 2023, Ukrainian scholars held the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Problems of the Identity of the Cultural Heritage of Ukraine in the Conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian War and in the Postwar Period." At it, scientists, educators and representatives of the civil society of Ukraine discussed a number of urgent problems that faced Ukrainian society during the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, namely the identification of cultural and artistic assets that help to establish national identity and created expert councils that are actively working on problems of preservation of Ukrainian cultural heritage".
At the end of his speech, V. Chernets noted: "We love Ukraine, but we need to love it more courageously. The aggressor country invests huge amounts of money in the ideological struggle with the Ukrainian state. Ukrainian scholars are currently at the forefront of the humanitarian front, however, the most important thing for us is the military front, so I want to give a word to congratulate the well-known in Ukraine and beyond, the voice of the two Maidans, the Ukrainian theater, film and dubbing actor, the People's Artist of Ukraine, To the Minister of Culture of Ukraine from February 27 to December 2, 2014 and from April 14, 2016 to August 29, 2019, to the Chairman of the Taras Shevchenko National Award Committee of Ukraine (from May 22, 2023) and to Yevhen Nyshchuk, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine."
Yevhen Mykolayovych thanked those present for the invitation to be a participant in such a prestigious scientific meeting and congratulated Vasyl Hnatovych on his birthday, presenting him with the chevron of his military unit, which depicts a beehive, as it is known - bees give honey to friends, and sting enemies mercilessly.
In his congratulation, E. Nyshchuk noted, in particular: "Almost every citizen of Ukraine directly and indirectly joined the fight against the enemy. We at the front realized the important truth that we will not defeat the aggressor without the help of the rear! For a long time, Russian propaganda convinced Ukrainians that Russians and Ukrainians were born in the same cradle and that we are brotherly nations. However, reality turned out to be very far from the "wet" fantasies of propagandists. Currently, tens of thousands of Ukrainian citizens have gone to the world, death did not distinguish which of them loved the Ukrainian world, and who was madly in love with the "Russian world", she doesn't care... I saw it with my own eyes back in March-April 2022. We should remember all this and never forgive the murderers for their crimes. Now I have been in the Kherson area with my brothers for eight months. We talked with Ukrainians who lived in the temporarily occupied territories and learned a lot of interesting things from them. It turned out that traitors were primarily those who had previously worked for the enemy, directly and indirectly promoted "Russian peace", etc. The invaders, with the help of traitors, immediately counted out "atoshniks", patriotic teachers and active pro-Ukrainian public figures, they were arrested and destroyed. Another important goal for the Rashists was the Ukrainian cultural heritage. At one o'clock in the morning on February 24, 2022, Russian tanks captured the Chornobyl NPP, then moved to Dymerka and entered Ivankiv, where they immediately burned down the museum of M. Pryimachenko. A little later, the Rashists destroyed the Memorial Museum-Estate of H. Skovorody in the village of Skovorodynivka, and in Kherson they completely ransacked the Museum of Local History. What is the purpose of these vile crimes? So that there are no markers of Ukrainian identity. The same applies to the Ukrainian language, which the Russian authorities have been trying to eliminate for over three centuries. What did Ukrainian men and women die for? For Ukraine! The feat of the Krutians will forever remain in the history of Ukraine. One of the twenty-nine heroes captured by the Russian Bolsheviks, in the face of death he sang "Ukraine is not dead yet" and shouted "Glory to Ukraine!". After 104 years, a Ukrainian soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine standing in front of the executioners confidently said: "Glory to Ukraine!" and was shot dead by savage mobs. Everything goes in a circle. We need to break this cycle. Together with allies who help us with weapons, money, and equipment, we will win! Fatherland and motherland, native language, culture, traditions, all these are powerful components of the energy of our faith in the victory of Ukraine. I told that in the fall we would go to Kherson, in the end, that's what happened.
How sincerely people rejoiced at the Ukrainian liberators, how they cried... We need to shoot feature films and write books about it in order to preserve it in the historical memory of the Ukrainian people."
At the end of his performance, Yevhen Nyschuk read Mykola Vingranovsky's poem "No! This people is from blood and soil...", where there are the following lines:
"In the battle of fate, politicians and systems/ My bullets are in his guns./ I am not his servant, I am his son in chats,/ I am the son of his star that rises from Kobzar."
In his greeting, which smoothly transitioned into a report, T. Kononenko, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of History of Philosophy of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, employee of the Scientific Research Institute (2000-2013), conveyed sincere congratulations to V. Chernets and Ukrainian scholars from the founder and the first director of the Institute (1992 - 2013) P. Kononenko and wished them successful work in the name of the victory of Ukraine.
Also, Taras Petrovych emphasized: "Petro Petrovych likes to say: "If you want to do something, put your work on the table!". Therefore, I want to put on the table Pyotr Petrovych's gift to Vasyl Hnatovych - five volumes of P. Kononenko's memoirs "One hundred years - one hundred roads... Ukraine and Ukrainian studies: birth - executions - resurrection of the revolution - war". In the fifth volume of the fundamental work, the founder of modern Ukrainian studies claims that with the appointment of V. Chernets to the position of director of the National Institute of Scientific Research, the Institute finally received a high-level professional leader who has Ukrainian-centric strategic thinking and possesses the competencies that will help him return the Institute to national status and a worthy place in humanitarian sphere of the Ukrainian state.
In his report "Ukrainian World Identity", T. Kononenko focused on how the Scientific Research Institute can not only contribute to the development of the identity of Ukrainians, but also somewhat activate this complex process. In particular, Taras Petrovych emphasized: "During the establishment of the Institute, the first President of Ukraine L. Kravchuk emphasized that its main task should be the formation of a Ukrainian-centric philosophy and policy of the Ukrainian state on the basis of Ukrainian studies. Despite the difficulties of formation (after the separation from Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University and the creation of the National Scientific Research Institute in 2000, the Institute was housed in a school in Obolon and acquired its own premises only in 2003) Ukrainian scholars under the leadership of P. Kononenko worked actively and productively and deservedly received the status of National in 2009. It was a real shock for officials of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine, and they could not find a niche for him for a long time. In turn, the management and employees of the Scientific Research Institute understood the importance of introducing the latest technologies into the educational process and systematically began to work on it. Thus, National Scientific University was one of the first to introduce distance courses into the educational discourse and received 6 licenses for conducting courses with Certification training. Distance education is commonplace now, especially after the coronavirus pandemic, but then it was a breakthrough. Our magazine "Ukrainoznavstvo" became the first electronic specialist publication in Ukraine. The staff of the Scientific Research Institute of Ukraine was convinced that the scientists-Ukrainian studies had the power to do a great job and they successfully fulfilled their mission. The building at 18 Isaakyan Street was not an ordinary material object, not a physical phenomenon, but a space that forms meanings and values. Scientific units year after year developed fundamental and applied research works, and the Crimean branch of the Scientific Research Institute created important innovative developments. Unfortunately, due to a number of objective and for subjective reasons, the progressive development of the Scientific Research Institute was suspended. However, with the appointment of Vasyl Hnatovych as the head of the Institute, new prospects for activity open up for him and his employees. Taking into account the challenges of the Third Millennium, scientists-Ukrainian studies of the Ukrainian National University should raise the level of the tasks they have to perform. to develop and confidently move forward. At the time, Ukrainians faced the problem of preserving and developing their identity. I want to emphasize that identity is not an abstraction, it is specific. What do those who represent and promote "Russian peace" in Ukraine do in the first place? First they are trying to destroy Ukrainian identity. We, scientists, need to analyze how they attack and fight the "Ukrainian world". Racists do this systematically and consistently, destroying the natural landscape (undermining the Kakhovskaya HPP dam), destroying Ukrainian cultural heritage, eliminating Ukrainian education (burning Ukrainian textbooks and importing their own, Russian ones), persecuting and murdering pro-Ukrainian teachers, lecturers, etc. Let me remind you that the construction of the cascade of hydroelectric power stations on the Dnieper River led to the destruction of the Ukrainian natural environment. As a result of these terrible events, the Dnipro returns to its course. And Ukraine must become Ukraine! The most important tasks at the moment are: firstly, the digital world has become an important component of V. Vernadskyi's noosphere, so Ukrainian scientists must ensure the formation and development of Ukrainian world identity with the help of digital technologies. In order to defeat the "Russian world", we need to develop Ukrainian studies and create Ukrainian studies centers in the world. They should become a coherent network that will unite Ukrainians all over the world. The creation of branches of scientific research institutes on all continents of the planet is a very promising area of activity Institute. Secondly, the ways of communication, both between scientists and the general public of Ukrainians. The events taking place in the centers of Ukrainianism in Brazil, the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, etc. thanks to modern digital technologies should become information for everyone. In my opinion, scientific articles are gradually losing their meaning, but a new channel should be offered to convey important information to the whole world. That is why it is timely to disseminate information on Ukrainian studies through the updated website of the Scientific Research Institute of Ukraine, the electronic journal "Ukrainoznavstvo", etc. Thirdly, the systematic development of the Ukrainian language. I am convinced that, along with the State Coat of Arms, Flag, Slavne, the Ukrainian language should become another important attribute of the Ukrainian state. We need to gather in the association those countries where the Ukrainian language has an official status. For this, it is necessary to hold a meeting and formalize it legally. If there are associations of English-speaking, French-speaking, Spanish-speaking, German-speaking and other countries, why can't we create something similar? Such an association will become the basis for the functioning and development of the Ukrainian language throughout the world and will help create a Ukrainian world identity."
The head of the Kyiv branch of the public organization "Ukrainian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments" A. Frolov congratulated the participants of the Readings on the start of their work and wished them success. In particular, Anatoly Oleksandrovych noted: "Ukrainians should know their past well and be proud of it." Trypil archaeological culture had a great influence on the development of Ukrainian cultural heritage, but it was always persecuted and neglected, both in Soviet times and in the imperial era. Therefore, finally, it is time to give it a balanced scientific assessment. The world was created without borders, they are artificial. We need to develop the Ukrainian world and support Ukrainian communities on all continents of the globe."
Deputy commander of the volunteer battalion "OUN", a participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war, A. Pastushenko (call sign "Grey"), in his speech, congratulated the participants of the scientific forum on an important state holiday - the Constitution Day of Ukraine, and wished Ukrainians to live in a legal state, where the rights of every citizen will be protected by the Basic Law of the country. Also, Andriy Ivanovych, in particular, noted: "My higher education is the Moscow Mining Institute, the Faculty of Mines and Building Construction, but I have always respected people of science. It is important that we are at the "front", on the very line of contact with the enemy, fighting to preserve and defend Ukrainian State. We are also fighting to make Ukraine Ukrainian. We were a colony for three hundred years, and this colonial past weighs heavily on Ukraine and Ukrainians. When we return victoriously to our native villages, we should be met by a Ukrainian Ukraine. My brothers and I are fighting for our children and grandchildren to inherit a better Ukraine from us. Now Ukraine needs Ukrainian studies. You are scientists, raising Ukraine intellectually. You make the Ukrainian spirit powerful and victorious. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to heroes!".
The report of the editor-in-chief of the journal "Occasional Papers on Religion in Eastern Europe", Doctor of Philosophy in Church History, Doctor of Theology P. Moises (United States of America) "False claims of Russia to holiness and spiritual supremacy" was voiced by N. Bezsmertna, a researcher at the Department of Ukrainian Philology of the National Scientific University. Before the speech, the head of the Department of Ukrainian Ethnology of the National Institute of Natural History, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee Chitan Yu. Figurny briefly spoke about the life path and scientific achievements of the American scientist known in the scientific world. In Paul's report Moises's main attention was focused on the incommensurability of the ambitions and real actions of the two Russian leaders - spiritual and secular, since both the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Kirill and the President of Russia Putin are pursuing an imperialistic policy of aggression towards Ukraine, which will ultimately lead them to a shameful defeat. In particular, P. Moises emphasizes: "The top leadership of the Russian Orthodox Church - the church whose patriarch until recently was also the supreme "father" of the majority of Orthodox in Ukraine - is not just silent, but justifies and incites the war. Patriarch Kirill, imitating the medieval ones Christian and Muslim rulers, promises Russian servicemen that if they die in war (and they do in huge numbers), they will go straight to heaven with all previous sins forgiven. Based on this arithmetic, it can be assumed that those non-Russians who will go to heaven after February 24, 2022, will encounter an excess of many Russian "saints".
Head of the Department of Military-Patriotic Education of the Scientific Research Institute, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, V. Krysachenko, in the report: "Conceptualization in Ukrainian studies: from description to nomothetics" analyzed the main stages of the formation of the Scientific Research Institute and outlined the main tasks facing scientists - Ukrainian scholars. In particular, Valentyn Semenovych emphasized: "The creation of the Institute began back in 1989 at the Faculty of Philology Kyiv State University named after T.G. Shevchenko, which was then managed by Petro Kononenko. Thanks to his purposeful pro-Ukrainian activities, the International Association of Ukrainian Studies was first created, which was joined by dedicated Ukrainians, including Taras Gunchak, Ihor Bychko, Yaroslav Kalakura and others, and then the Institute of Ukrainian Studies of Kyiv State University named after T.G. Shevchenko. In general, since 1992, the Institute has gone through a difficult and thorny path of testing and formation, just like the Ukrainian state itself."
Senior researcher at the Institute of Biographical Research of the V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, Doctor of Philological Sciences H. Aleksandrov (junior researcher at the Institute of Ukrainian Studies in 1994-2002) in the report: "Professor M. I. Storozhenko (1836-1906) : components of the Ukrainian national identity" analyzed the life path and Ukrainian-centric views of a scientist known in Europe and the world. Also Galina Andriivna noted: "The appropriation by the Russian authorities of the achievements of prominent Ukrainian personalities, including scientists, has become the norm for Kremlin ideologues. Therefore, the urgent task for Ukrainian scientists is to return to the pantheon of prominent figures of Ukraine. The criteria for this should be as follows: first, Ukrainian-centric views; secondly, the connection with Ukraine; thirdly, financial support for pro-Ukrainian projects; fourthly, scientific works devoted to Ukrainian problems".
The head of the department of cultural studies of the Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, doctor of philosophy, professor V. Yatchenko in the report: "Methodology of the study of the spiritual culture of the early stages of the development of the Ukrainian ethnos" revealed the peculiarities of the functioning of the mentality of Ukrainians. In particular, Volodymyr Feodosiyovych emphasized: "In the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the preservation of Ukrainian national values is timely. Now, some Ukrainian officials are trying to pursue a cautious policy regarding the de-Sovietization and decolonization of the Ukrainian humanitarian space, believing that this could upset Ukrainian society. I want to remind those present that during During the Second World War, namely in 1942-1943, in Ufa (Bashkyria) by order of the top Soviet leadership, a commission was created to improve the vocabulary of the Ukrainian language. Since the Ukrainian language could not be destroyed by simple bans, it was decided to destroy it from within. The peculiarity of the Ukrainian language is that it is very lexically rich, there are 4-5 Ukrainian equivalents for one Russian word, and when translating, the first word is chosen from many. Therefore, party officials decided that the first word in dictionaries should be the most similar to the Russian counterpart. This is how the convergence of the Russian and Ukrainian languages took place, namely through impoverishment and simplification Ukrainian In that difficult wartime, Soviet ideologues did not see that the war was going on, but planned for the future, for the future. Therefore, in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war, scientists-Ukrainian studies must set themselves important state tasks and systematically and comprehensively implement them."
A. Skyba, a senior researcher at the Department of Archeology of the Early Slavs of the Institute of Archeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, candidate of historical sciences, A. Skyba, in his report "On the question of the ethnogenesis of the Ukrainian people" briefly outlined the current problems in the scientific coverage of the problem of the origin of Ukrainians. Andriy Volodymyrovych, in particular, emphasized: "Currently, there is no universally recognized theory of the origin of the Ukrainian people at the academic level. Therefore, there is a need to develop scientific grounded concept of Ukrainian ethnogenesis. Ethnicity is not a specific portrait, it is a constant dynamic of changes. It is difficult to find the date of birth of ethnic groups, because they start to be written about when they have announced themselves loudly. Therefore, Ukrainian scientists should analyze all available archaeological and historical materials and formulate a balanced and scientifically based concept of the ethnogenesis of the Ukrainian people."
L. Smolyakova, a Ukrainian artist who researches the Trypil cultural heritage, reconstructs and popularizes it in Ukraine and other countries of the world, in the report: "The exhibition of reconstructions of Trypil ceramics in the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and its prospects" revealed the peculiarities of the preservation and restoration of the material culture of the Trypil people , which lived on the territory of Ukraine in ancient times. In her speech, Lyudmila Ivanivna noted in particular: "For Ukraine and the material and spiritual heritage of Trypilians is of great importance to Ukrainian culture. That is why the revival of the best samples of Tryplian culture in modern Ukraine, namely the reconstruction of housing, clothing, sculpture, household and sacred ceramics, etc., not only helps to enrich Ukrainian culture itself, but also helps to protect Ukrainian cultural heritage from the encroachments of Russian invaders." It should be noted that the performance of the artist was accompanied by photographs of the exhibits of the exhibition of Trypil ceramics, which was recently held in the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, which was attended by employees of the Scientific Research Institute - O. Sciban and O. Shakurova.
Senior Research Fellow of the Department of Cultural Studies of the Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Candidate of Historical Sciences, O. Trachuk, in the report: "Trypil settlement under the foundations of the Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" analyzed the features of the discovery and research of an important archaeological site. Oleksandr Vasyliovych also emphasized: "The finding of the Trypil settlement in a sacred place for Ukrainians testifies to the spread of this culture on the Left Bank of Ukraine and its control of huge territories."
After the completion of the scientific part of Chitan, the presentation of the scientific publication "Revisions of the Konotop Hundred of the 30s-40s of the 18th century" was held. Compiled by Oleksandr Trygub. Kyiv: Tov: "Clio Publishing House", 2022. 496 p.
In her speech: "The role of patronage in popularizing Ukrainian heritage", A. Ivashchenko, deputy head of the Charitable Fund "Hetmanship Heritage", spoke about the main directions of the Fund's activities. Alina Viktorivna also emphasized: "I sincerely thank our patrons Mr. Suru and Kocherza, thanks to whom we can successfully implement our plans. I also want to note the titanic work of the historian Oleksandr Trygub, who fruitfully and selflessly worked in the archives and prepared this important scientific work."
Candidate of historical sciences, historian-genealogist O. Trygub in his report: "The book "Revisions of the Konotop Hundred" is an important source for studying the personal composition of the population of the Hetman region" characterized the features of the texts of this unique monument from the history of Ukraine of the first half of the 18th century, namely the revision of the Konotop Hundred of the Nizhyn Regiment 1732, 1736, 1737, 1738, 1745, 1747 years. In particular, Oleksandr Oleksandrovych noted in his speech: "These revisions contain valuable information about the number, social composition, occupations and social infrastructure of one of the oldest administrative and territorial units of the Ukrainian Cossack State. I hope that the series started by us will contribute to the growth of interest and encourage researchers to study other micro-regional units, which in the future will make it possible to gradually "populate" the Ukrainian society of the Hetmanship era.
Member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, responsible secretary of the Kyiv Human Rights Organization of Deported Ukrainians "Kholmshchyna" named after Mykhailo Hrushevskyi Z. Shalivska in the report: "The decline of the Hetmanship as a consequence of the policy of the Russian government. Fates of Cossack descendants (based on the materials of the "Revisions of the Konotop Hundred of the 30s - 40s of the 18th century")" made a professional analysis of this scientific publication. Zoya Valeriivna also emphasized: "This is also relevant for us At the time of the book, we have information about the structure of land holdings of the Konotopa Hundred of the Nizhyn Regiment, the participation of Cossacks in campaigns, their genealogy, and social infrastructure. The revisions of different years clearly show the impoverishment and landlessness of the population of the region, as a consequence of the policy of the Moscow occupiers to weaken Hetman's Ukraine so much that it could never dream of any separatism after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. So Historically, the destruction of Ukrainian statehood has become an end in itself for any Russian government. Modern racists generally deny the existence of Ukrainians as a separate nation, destroy Ukrainian historical and cultural heritage, and burn libraries. That's why we have to write, publish, read books now. This is also one of the fronts of our resistance."
The head of the Department of Ukrainian Ethnology of the Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, candidate of historical sciences, Yu. Figurnyi, in the report "Historical memory of Ukrainians as an effective weapon in the Russian-Ukrainian war" revealed the peculiarities of using knowledge about the past in the confrontation with the Rashists. In particular, Yurii Stepanovych emphasized: "For any totalitarian regime, it is important that its population be obedient cogs of the system and have no historical memory. Whereas it is important for democracies to each of their citizens knew his lineage and pedigree (genealogical tree), because taking care of his family, he would steadfastly protect the Motherland, not as a conditional abstraction, but as a concrete native land, home, family, graves of ancestors. I sincerely envy modern Ukrainian schoolchildren, who create and study the tree of life of their kind in lessons, unfortunately, this was not practiced in the Soviet school. In general, in the historical memory of Ukrainians, for the most part, only the surnames of prominent personalities are present. In particular, from the history of the National Liberation War under the guidance Such figures as Bohdan Khmelnytskyi are widely known, such as Colonels I. Bohun, M. Kryvonis, D. Nechai, F. Dzhedzhalii and others, while the names of other ordinary members of the Khmelnytsky region remain forgotten. It should not be so, and precisely such works as "Revisions of the Konotop Hundred of the 30s-40s of the 18th century." fill the historical memory of Ukrainians with the names of people whose activities made Ukraine a geopolitical reality. The Moscow helmsmen and promoters of "Russian World" are not are tired of repeating that "Russians and Ukrainians are one united brotherly people", but reading and understanding such scientific works we are once again convinced that we were, are, and always will be different. Step by step, Ukrainians are heading towards the Euro-Atlantic Community of Nations, and Russians are heading towards the horrors of a bloody civil war, and may the Russian Orthodox Church bless them on this winding path, and may hell become a paradise for them."
It should be noted that the Scientific Research Institute began fruitful cooperation with the Department of Higher Education, Professional Education and Targeted Program Forecasting of the Department of Education and Science of the Kyiv City State Administration (Director of the Department - Olena Hryhorivna Fidanyan). That is why the guests of the readings were representatives of various institutions of the vocational and technical education of the city of Kyiv, namely: Dyadyusheva Svitlana Vasylivna, teacher of the Kyiv Vocational College "Livoberezhny", Dolinska Iryna Petrivna, history teacher of the Kyiv Vocational Lyceum of Construction and Communal Economy, Dmitrievna Tetyana Dmitrivna, teacher of Ukrainian language and literature at the Kyiv Vocational College of Motor Vehicle Technologies, Fadykina Yana Valeriivna, librarian of the Kyiv Higher Vocational School of Water Transport, Solonska Olena Pavlivna, teacher of Ukrainian language and literature Vladyslav Oleksandrovych Bondarenko of the Kyiv Higher School of Woodworking, physics teacher of the Kyiv Vocational Lyceum of Transport, Svitlana Storchak Anatolyivna, teacher of Ukrainian language and literature at the Kyiv Professional College of Services, Olena Oleksandrivna Bolyukh, teacher of Ukrainian language and literature at the Kyiv Professional College of Services, Olga Vasylivna Romanchuk, teacher of Ukrainian language and literature at the Kyiv Professional College of Art Design, Vodovoz Lidia Mykolaivna, philologist, teacher of linguistic disciplines at the College with enhanced military and physical training, Yarosh Tetyana Ivanivna, teacher of Ukrainian language and literature Kyiv Vocational College "Synergia", Tetyana Viktorivna Plem'yanik, librarian of the Kyiv Higher Vocational School of Railway Transport, Drushchenko Svitlana Valeryivna, teacher of history and civic education of the Interregional Higher Vocational School of Road Transport and Construction Mechanization.
In turn, one of the participants of the Readings, philologist, teacher of linguistic disciplines at the College with enhanced military and physical training, L. Vodovoz, sincerely thanked the organizers of the forum for holding an interesting scientific event. In particular, Lidia Mykolaivna emphasized; "For us teachers, it is very important to combine practice with theory. we all need to love Ukraine more and nurture and develop the Ukrainian language."
At the end of the event, the director of the Scientific Research Institute V. G. Chernets thanked all the participants of the Readings for their active participation in the discussion of current humanitarian problems and emphasized the important role of Ukrainian studies and the Scientific Research Institute during the Russian-Ukrainian war and once again asked them to love Ukraine more.
O. E. Sciban, a researcher at the Department of Information Support and Scientific Communications of the Scientific Research Institute of Ukraine, carried out a thorough photo documentation of Chitan.
